Holiday Gluten Free Apple Crisp

Wondering what to make for dessert when you have gluten sensitive guests? Look no further! This Apple Crisp is a simple and quick recipe that doesn’t compromise on flavor. Serve it for dessert after dinner and save the leftovers for a tasty midday snack. This is an awesome holiday dessert that you can feel good about eating.


3 Large Apples (I used Granny Smith, but use your favorite apple!)

Ground Cinnamon

1 Cup Coconut oil, melted

1/3 Cup natural sweetener such as coconut sugar or raw or local honey

1 1/2 Cups Almond Meal


  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Cut the apples into cubes and place in an 8×10″ casserole dish. Dust the apples with cinnamon.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the oil, sugar or honey, and a few more dashes of cinnamon. Slowly add the almond meal and stir until it is completely mixed in.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly over the top of the apples. Sprinkle with a little more cinnamon and drizzle with a little sugar or honey if you wish.
  5. Bake for 35-40min, or until light brown.
